Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter Alternative
Are you looking for an adapter for the Xbox 360 wireless network alternative? If yes, then you are not alone.
Microsoft Xbox 360 console is undoubtedly the best system on the market. Sporting a wide variety of games and a passionate community of users on Xbox Live, the first of the current generation of consoles are able to have higher sales of both comMents and scores, compared to its competitors.
In fact, the Xbox 360 is too short, wherewireless connectivity is concerned. Unlike its rivals, Microsoft's game system requires the purchase of an additional Xbox Wireless Network Adapter in order to facilitate online play.
To make matters worse the Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter is expensive, ringing in at a price between (when on sale) to as high as 0! When you consider the fact that the adapter costs almost 1/3 as much as the enTire console itself then it's no wonder that many Xbox customers are angry....and rightly so!
If you just purchased a new Xbox system and are not looking to cough up the extra coin to pay for the official adapter then you're going to need an Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter Alternative.
Now obviously you could simply run a long cable directly from your Xbox all the way across the house to your router. Of course this completely defeats the purpose of looking for a wireless solution. Most people would rather get gouged by Microsoft and pay top Dollar for the official adapter before they would begin drilling holes in their home and Fishing cable through the floors and walls.
Another option is to establish an "Ethernet-Over-Power Line" setup. To do this you purchase a set of EOP transceivers. Plug one into the power outlet next to your Xbox console and Plug the other one into the power outlet next year broadband router. Using a small ethernet cable to connect your Xbox console to the first transceiver and another to connect your broadband router to the second transceiver. With this done you are now able to connect your Xbox to your router using the electric power cables in your home.
Unfortunately, buying the transceivers can cost almost as much as the adapter itself. While this will help you save a little bit of money it's still a relatively high cost method of connecting to Xbox Live.
The best solution is to "borrow" the existing wireless connection of your laptop Computer. Simply by placing the laptop Computer next to your Xbox 360 game console and connecting the two together with a standard ethernet cable, you can bridge your computer's connection from its wireless card to its LAN card and be gaming online in as little as five minutes.
